In response to Friday's offer by the Oluwo of Iwo, Osun State, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, to intervene in the conflict between the government and Igboho, the activist's spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, said there had been no recent contact between the monarch and the agitator.
Koiki also denied that Igboho was planning to abandon its campaign for a Yoruba nation.
However, the Oluwo stated that only Igboho "can speak for himself" on whether or not he is ready for talks.
