S/West Governors Hold Meeting Over Igboho

The six governors in the South-West geopolitical zone have convened an emergency meeting on Friday evening over current national issues.

A top source told Saturday PUNCH that the governors met virtually and discussed issues affecting the region.

The source could not confirm whether the governors discussed the raid by operatives of the Department of State Services on the Ibadan residence of Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho.

Oyedepo Drops New Prophecy

Pastor Oyedepo has recently released a new prophecy.

The prophecy was released in his official facebook page.

He said, "God will surprise you and the world around you will celebrate you".

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has said the police in the state are aware of plans by Yoruba nation agitators to forcefully reopen Seme border.

Seme, an international border with Benin Republic, is in the Badagry area of Lagos.

The once ever-busy Seme has remained without activities since 2019 when the Federal Government ordered the closure of land borders.

PDP Lifts Suspension Of Aziegbemi

The State Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State, has lifted the suspension of its Chairman, Hon Tony Aziegbemi.

The party had suspended Aziegbemi over alleged gross misconduct.

The lifting of the suspension was announced in a press release made available to "Daily Post" through the party state Publicity Secretary, Chris Osa Nehikhare.

Oshiomhole Hails Matawalle

The immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has hailed Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State for defecting to the ruling party.

In a personal letter to Matawalle and made available to journalists on Saturday by his media aide, Victor Oshioke, the APC leader described Matawalle as a man of courage, conscience, principles and honour.
